How to reach Padova

BY TRAIN
Padova is both on the Venice-Milano and on the Venice-Rome railways (see timetable of Trenitalia (https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html).

BY PLANE
The nearest airport is Venice airport - Marco Polo (https://www.veneziaairport.it/en/), 40 kilometers east of Padova; it is conveniently connected with all major European airports.
Some low-cost companies fly to Treviso airport – Canova (https://www.trevisoairport.it/en/) and Verona airport – Valerio Catullo (https://www.aeroportoverona.it/en/).

Venice (or Treviso) Airport connections
    • By shuttle from/to Venice Airport
The Shuttle service will pick you up at the airport at your arrival and take you directly to the address of your choice in Padova. The reservation must be made at least 24h before your arrival, indicating date, time and flight number.

Fare from Venice airport: 44 EUR per person. Reductions apply for two o more people going to the same address.
    • By bus
From Venice and Treviso airports there are direct buses to Padova bus station (autostazione), close to the railway station.
For the Department of Civil, Envionmental and Architectural Engineering stop at Fiera.

The Busitalia bus stop is located at arrival level.
The bus takes around 1 hour. Fare: 9.40 EUR one way You can buy the ticket at the ticket shop inside the airport, in the vending machines close to the bus stop or directly on the bus (at an extra charge).

  Minicruise and botanical garden

The minicruise must be booked directly by Task participants interested in as soon as possible, due to the limited number of seats on the boat.

The return to Padova must be self-organized by train (Venice - Santa Lucia Station) or by bus (Venice - Piazzale Roma).
Participants can also decide to stay in Venice overnight. In this case, participants need to carry their luggage on the cruise at an additional cost. Please pay attention when booking the mini cruise.
