Curriculum

Giorgio Croatto is Full Professor of Technical Architecture at the University of Padua. He is professor from 1.2.2000, teaching Technical Architecture and Architectural Design within the degree courses of Civil Engineering, Building Engineering and Architectural Engineering. He currently holds the courses of Technical Architecture for degree programs in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering. He followed many dissertations degree within the building refurbishment and sustainable architectural design.

He teaches at the following Ph.D. courses: "Science and Technology Civil Engineering" and "International doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering". He was also a lecturer in several foreign universities where he held courses and seminars within university cooperation programs at Lusiada Universidade in Lisbon, at Universitas Fabrefacta Optime in Tirana and at the Albanian University of Tirana.
His main research fields are: analysis of the building organism (constructive, functional, typological and formal aspects), analysis of traditional and innovative building techniques, construction procedures, underground building settlement and multidisciplinary collaborative design (related to safety issues into temporary construction sites). These researches were considered in the project perspective, both to the new construction and buildings refurbishment and conservation.
